Join us as we sit down will Bill Topich, Head PA's Social Science Department and Director of the Honors Senior Thesis Project, to discuss PA's Senior Thesis.  The Pulaski Academy Honors Thesis class is designed for seniors interested in engaging in intense research and writing on a topic of their choice.  Students focus on research methodology as well as organizational skills and time management, preparing them for the challenges of writing and research at the collegiate level.

Honors Senior Thesis Project - Students

We sit down with current PA Seniors and honors senior thesis students, Lilly Hawkins and Katherine Ford, to dive into the process of writing a minimum 50 page honors senior thesis.  In the thesis class, students produce a major paper over the course of the school year, infusing thorough research, data analysis, personal interviews, and policy recommendations. Lilly and Katherine discuss their thesis topics, the research and writing process and what they hope to gain from this project.

We had the opportunity to sit down with Pulaski Academy Learning Services Teacher Melanie Henner.  Melanie shared more about her role as part of the PA Learning Services Team and what types of students they work with.  We discussed her educational background, the diagnoses she most commonly sees in students she works with, what types of accommodations are available to PA students and what she loves about her job working with students with learning differences.
